Films produced by Janine Marmot have won awards at festivals around the world, including a BAFTA and BIFA for Bodysong.
She has produced documentaries and drama for television; working with directors including the Brothers Quay, Michael Whyte, Nichola Bruce, Tom Shankland and Christopher Petit, as well as producing the films of Simon Pummell.
In 2006 she ran a workshop with Palme d’Or winning director Abbas Kiarostami in association with Channel Four and the LFS.
Her feature credits include the award-winning Bodysong by Simon Pummell, I Could Read the Sky by Nichola Bruce, Institute Benjamenta by The Brothers Quay and the multi-directed Made In Heaven for the rock band Queen and the BFI.
Janine is currently developing a slate of feature films through Hot Property Films including;
Simon Pummell’s contemporary ghost story Slow Motion Explosion with the UK Film Council and Media; an adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s The Edible Woman with Sandra Cunningham and Francine Zuckerman; Niall Griffiths’ and Kieran Evans’ Kelly + Victor with FilmFour and FAW; and an adaptation of William Gibson’s Dogfight, a 3D film.
